Scott Cawthon reveals the Halloween plans for Five Nights At Freddy’s and a possible new game

Originally Five Nights At Freddy’s 4, which is the last game in the series, was supposed to launch on Halloween this year. However, development for the game went exceedingly well and so it was released early. Along with the release came a promise that there would still be something happening on Halloween, mainly an update to the game. That was as far as the details went until now.

Scott Cawthon, the man behind Five Nights At Freddy’s and Scott Games, has decided to reveal a bit more about the plans he has for Halloween. Five Night’s At Freddy’s 4 will still be getting more content with the planned Halloween update, which should push the game’s version to 1.1. What this won’t be is a paid DLC. It will be a free content update for everyone and will include all kinds of goodies, some of which are currently still being worked on. Some of what will come with this update will include a new challenge menu, a cheat menu, and a familiar mini-game but there will be a new twist to it.

The above mentioned additions are all confirmed to be arriving with the Halloween update. Scott also has other goodies in the works as well including the possibility of a new game, although it won’t be a Five Nights At Freddy’s title. If this new game isn’t ready with at least a playable demo, he will release a sneak peak instead for everyone to check out. One interesting thing Scott did mention was that unlike the first three games in the series, where everyone found all the bits of lore and story that were hidden and quite fast at that, but with FNAF 4 not a single person has found any of the pieces of lore. So the full story in FNAF 4 is still hidden.

So they will remain hidden until people find them, so there won’t be any of those pieces of lore revealed with the upcoming update. The Halloween update, and possibly a new game, will be arriving on Halloween (Oct. 31st) and we will post an update when they arrive or more details are revealed.
