[Updated] Sega bringing the kart racing love to Android with Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing

If you happen to be a fan of kart racing games then you’ll be pleased to know that Sega has finally brought theirs over to Android. Officially called Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing, players will be racing against other well-known characters from certain Sega games across a variety of tracks.

Update 12:27pm PST Sept. 26, 2013: Sega has released this game onto Amazon’s AppStore today for $1.99. Purchase link is available below.

Just like any good kart racing game, along the way through each race you’ll have the ability to pick up boosters and other goodies to give you an edge in each race. There is a decent amount of single-player content in this game with 25 different missions to complete as well as four additional Grand Prix races. A total of 13 characters are available to play as, each with their own unique vehicle that has their own unique stats and handling.

The real meat of this game will be the multiplayer where you can race against up to three other people through online multiplayer. Along the way you’ll be able to earn achievements as well.
