Social Gaming Network, or SGN for short, just recently announced that they have raised an additional $2 million dollars in second round funding. While good funding is great to hear about where developers are concerned, SGN has been focused a long time on high quality iPhone/iPad/iPod multiplayer gaming. They now plan to release titles for Android devices.
You may remember not too long ago we posted an article about a game called Skies of Glory, the demo of which was running on a Motorola Droid shown in the video below. Well this is actually one of their titles that is in the process of making it’s way to Android devices soon.
SGN has been focused on providing high quality multiplayer games to the masses unlike a lot of groups which pump out mediocre games at best most of the time. With an already impressive looking lineup of iPhone/iPad games as well as Facebook and MySpace titles, we could be seeing some really good, top notch games landing on Android phones in the very near future.
Some of the more awesome looking titles include:
- Agency Wars
- Vampires vs. Werewolves
- Skies of Glory & Skies of Glory: Battle of Britian
Most of the games offered up in SGN’s lineup are either FPS (First-person shooter) games like Exo-Planet, RPG games like Mafia or Dogfighting games such as F.A.S.T and Skies of Glory. They also have a few sports titles like Bowling and Golf that are all online multiplayer games as well.
As for an actual date we can hope to see some of these games becoming available? Nothing has been officially announced as of yet although seeing Skies of Glory running on the Droid over at Google I/O 2010 makes it feel like it won’t be too much longer.

F.A.S.T. (Dogfight/Aerial Combat Game)
Agency Wars (RPG game)
