Shadowgun release date announced for Tegra 2 devices and a time frame for other Android devices

Good news for those of you waiting to get your hands on a copy of Madfinger Games’ upcoming slick looking 3D shooter called Shadowgun. The developers have let the cat out of the bag in a tweet letting everyone know not only what date Shadowgun will be released for Tegra 2 devices but a time frame for all other devices as well.

So when will you be able to get your hands on a copy of Shadowgun? According to Madfinger Games, owners of Tegra 2 Android devices will be able to start shooting enemies in the face on October 26th which is next Wednesday. However, for those of you who do not own a dual-core Tegra 2 Android device, you will have to wait for an optimized version of Shadowgun to come out for non-Tegra 2 devices.

However, there is good news with that as well. All non-Tegra 2 devices should be able to get a copy of Shadowgun off the Android Market in a matter of days after the initial release of Shadowgun for Tegra 2 devices. So you won’t have to wait long either as it’s just a matter of testing due to some driver issues is all. We did have a pretty good feeling that it would arrive on other non-Tegra 2 devices fairly quickly since they did the same thing with Samurai II: Vengeance.

Keep your eyes on this site on Oct. 26th 2011 for when the game comes out as well will be sure to remind everyone plus, we may very well have something special in store for our readers. I can’t say much more than that otherwise I’ll give it away. Until the release of Shadowgun arrives though, you can always check out our review of the preview build we received a couple weeks ago. Shadowgun will set you back $4.99 when it launches and don’t forget that it will be getting multiplayer soon.
