Slender Threads is now out on Android. It’s a paranormal point-and-click game developed and published by Blyts. They’re known for the Nobodies series, which includes the three titles Nobodies: Murder Cleaner, Nobodies: After Death, and Nobodies: Silent Blood. Another notable title of theirs is Infamous Machine.
Dark strings of fate await you in Slender Threads
In the game, you follow Harvey Green through the winding streets of Villa Ventana. Harvey is a travelling salesman who hawks books because his attempt at writing hasn’t taken off.
He’s trapped in a recurring nightmare involving his own head mounted on a wall. That loop of dread follows him into real life as he drifts into the unknown town.
You guide Harvey through shops, back alleys, houses in disarray, and the corners of the coastal town. Villa Ventana itself becomes a character in Slender Threads, with its four main streets.
You might step into a pizza place arranged like an Italian courtyard. Or you might walk into a casino brimming with roulette, blackjack tables, and slot machines.
Your main goal is to track down Lena, a researcher whom Harvey witnesses while tinkering with an old radio. Following Lena’s trail, you rummage through abandoned homes, collecting items that unlock new places.
Blyts is an Argentine indie studio which started in 2008
Blyts has kept the puzzles accessible and fun. The game has hand-drawn scenes that blend 2D and 3D into a sort of moving diorama. The game’s richly textured setting is backed by a haunting score. Watch the latest trailer of Slender Threads here!
