Square Enix decided that today was a good day to begin announcing a bunch of games heading to mobile, and one of them is a title called Project: Rising. Unfortunately there isn’t a whole lot details about this game, mainly because Square Enix is just teasing this game’s official revealing which will be happening next week.
However, judging from the teaser trailer, we can get a pretty good idea as to what Project: Rising is. The logo of the game is in the same style as most of the other RPGs the company has released, so it is a pretty safe bet that Project: Rising will fall into that genre. Could this be a more modern RPG in terms of the visuals? Probably, judging from the visual style of the trailer, although Square Enix loves to make those flashy trailer for pretty much all their games.
Normally we would peg this as a Japan-only release, since this teaser trailer was uploaded on the company’s Japanese YouTube trailer. However, there is an English description in the video announcing the official revealing of the game happening on April 19th, 2016 and that the game is coming to Android and iOS. So there’s a good chance this game will see a global release down the road. We will know more next week of course. In the meantime, you can check out the teaser in the video above.
