Square Enix has decided to tease the mobile gaming world with a screenshot of their upcoming addition to the Final Fantasy franchise which is Final Fantasy VI. While there isn’t a whole lot of details regarding this next installment into the popular RPG franchise, we do get to see a little of the game in these new screenshots.
This game is also reported supposed to come out this year for both Android and iOS but unless Square Enix plans on releasing it in the next few weeks, it is looking like Final Fantasy VI will actually end up being released early next year instead. Of course it would be great if it actually makes a 2013 release.
As for pricing, you can expect it to follow along the lines of previous Final Fantasy titles in terms of cost. So it could be anywhere from $10-$16 in price. Considering this is later on in the series, we’re guessing it’ll land around the $15.99 mark. When more information is announced, we’ll post an update. This will most likely be the last installment into the Final Fantasy franchise for awhile since Square Enix has stated that Final Fantasy VII and newer titles won’t be arriving anytime soon. That is why the next series the company works on will be their Dragon Quest franchise.
