Square Enix is working on a new Final Fantasy Adventure title, although we will probably never see it

Word on the internet is that Square Enix is currently making a new Final Fantasy Adventure title. If this series doesn’t sound familiar to you, that is because somewhere in the past Final Fantasy Adventures became the Secret of Mana. It is also known by different names in different regions, with Europe knowing it as Mystic Quest, while Japan has it named as Seiken Densetsu: Final Fantasy Gaiden.

There isn’t a whole lot of details about this new game that is in development, and the actual announcement came inside a video which is actually announcing an update for a different game, the free-to-play title Rise of Mana. The video is about an update which will ironically include a Final Fantasy Adventure boss being added to Rise of Mana.

At the end of this video, Square Enix does a quick little announcement that there is a new Final Fantasy Adventure title in the works, but that is about it in terms of actual details. Depending on which series this game comes out for, whether it be the Mana series, or Final Fantasy Gaiden, we may never see this game here in the West. In fact it is almost likely to happen, most of these games end up as Japan-only mobile releases, but you never know!
