Level Infinite has unveiled Rust Mobile, the long-awaited mobile adaptation of Facepunch Studios’ brutal survival game. It will have its first public demo at gamescom 2025 in Cologne, where players can try it out between August 20th and 24th.

Catch the first glimpse of Rust Mobile, the survival game

Level Infinite has dropped a new cinematic trailer alongside the announcement. It gives a peek at the fast-paced PvP combat and explosive base raids. Why don’t you take a look at it right here?

The game starts with you waking up on an isolated island, holding only a rock and a torch. You’re full of hunger and thirst, while the island is full of wild animals and rival players. The game demands you adapt or die.

Pre-registration is now open

You can now pre-register for the game on the official website. There’s no official release window yet, but you can expect it to land sometime later this year.

The game plays from a first-person perspective in real time. The day-night cycle is dynamic, weather shifts across various region-based biomes, and the sandbox is fully explorable.

There are abandoned monuments, new factions, hostile wildlife, and advanced underwater zones with loot. You can go solo, form alliances, or become predators, raiding bases, betraying friends, or playing peacemaker.

Since Rust Mobile is a survival game, crafting, scavenging, and raiding are all there. There’s base building that includes researching tech trees, harnessing electricity, growing food, and controlling transportation.

You can even play musical instruments in-game and perform for other players, assuming they don’t shoot you first. Let’s hope the game drops on mobile soon, so that we can live by ‘The only rule is the one you make for yourself.’

Until the game drops, check out other new games that are out on Android, like Metro Quester | Osaka.
