This year Mojang will be hosting Minecon 2015 in London and Telltale Games will be making their way there in order to officially debut Minecraft: Story Mode. You may remember when Telltale Games announced this new series back in December of last year, but if you missed our coverage on that, basically this is another episodic series but this time it is set within the Minecraft universe.
Once Telltale Games announced that this was going to officially be a thing, very little has been mentioned about it since then. However today Telltale Games made the official announcement regarding the debut with a short tweet with the company showing the Minecon logo and dates while saying “Let us tell you a story..”
While details have been real scarce since the game’s announcement, we do know that Mojang and Telltale Games will be working together on the project, and that it will be a standalone series like their other titles. We also know it won’t be some background story about Steve or an in-depth explanation of the Minecraft world. As Mojang stated, it will just be a ‘cool game’.
We will post an update with all the details that are announced during Minecon 2015 regarding Minecraft: Story Mode. Minecon happens next week in London and runs July 4-5, 2015.
