The new MOGA Ace Power gets leaked, looks like Phonejoy’s controller

MOGA has been working on a new controller that is vastly different from their current offerings. While the company’s previous controllers look and act more like console controllers, the new MOGA Ace Power is a lot different and looks similar to that of Phonejoy’s controller that is just hitting the market.

The new MOGA Ace Power controller, which is now a confirmed thing thanks to leaked pictures of the actual device, is a collapsible portable controller that expands out to the sides to fit around your Android phone. It comes with all the physical controls that you want with a controller plus the addition of a 1800 mAh battery which will charge your Android phone while it is connected to the controller.

The one main hurdle that MOGA has ahead of them with this style of controller is the same one Phonejoy has had and that is getting all the different Android phones to fit into it. While this isn’t an issue with the average Android phone, bigger phablets and large phones like the Samsung Note series or the new LG G2 might pose a problem. Make the controller expand too far and you might have issues with stability with the back bracket.

It looks like the company is going to try and get into the iOS controller market as well since the leaked image shows an iPhone in there. Either way it’ll be interesting to see if PowerA pulls off this style of controller. It took Phonejoy awhile to master it and get it to market so PowerA does have the advantage of seeing how things have developed with Phonejoy’s controller and avoiding some of those hurdles.
