Thunder Jack’s Log Runner is now available on Android

Fuel Games Studio has recently released a colorful and entertaining running game of sorts. If you have ever had the desire to participate in a log running contest, then here’s a safe way to do it. Play Thunder Jack’s Log Runner. It is fun, challenging and quite creative when it comes to game play.

In this game you have the opportunity to play as Thunder Jack or Thunder Jane. The goal of the game is to run as long as you can atop a log that is floating in the water. You do so by running and balancing your character on the log. I am sure most people have come across this unique sport.

“If you like the rough and tumble world of timber sports or if you just like a challenge – look no further than Thunder Jack’s Log Runner! This game will test your skills as you work to keep Thunder Jack (or Jane) upright on the rolling log against gusts of wind and jumping fish, while collecting Moose Coins along the way.” – Fuel Games

The game is played in portrait mode. The controls are simple. Pressing on the left side of your screen will make Thunder Jack (or Jane) lean to the left, and pressing on the right side of the screen moves him/her right. Pressing the center of your screen allows your character to jump up.

Though the controls are simple, making your character stay afloat is pretty tough. I think it is a game that is played better if you have more screen real estate. Though my phone screen size is pretty reasonable, if you have larger hands, they may feel a little cramped on the screen. So, give it a go on your tablet too, to see if that makes a difference for you.

The game has an in store shop so you can outfit your characters with different clothes and abilities.

Thunder Jack’s Log Runner Features:

  • Explore 4 beautiful outdoor environments and levels
  • Boosters and upgradeable abilities will help you conquer the wilderness
  • 12 unlockable bonus coin runs
  • 9 aquatic critters to try and stump your run
  • Re-watch and share your longest runs on Everplay
  • Free to play with the ability to buy out of ads
  • Addictive – Hard game play

I have been enjoying the game play of Thunder Jack’s Log Run. It definitely is not an easy game, but it is fun. The colors burst off the screen, the fish that attack you are unusual, and completing the goals for each run, are varied and require patience and skill.

The game does appear to be integrated with Google Game Play Services with two separate leaderboards, but no achievements. The game is free-to-play, and based on the description, you have the option to pay to turn off the ads. The in-game store has some pretty interesting items, but not purchasing them doesn’t limit the fun you can have while playing the game.

If you have ever been curious about log running, here’s your chance to get in on the trend.
