Akatsuki Games has announced the EOS for their newest game, Tribe Nine! Can you believe it? The game launched on Android, iOS, and PC (Steam) just a few months ago; February to be precise. What’s leading to its death? Keep reading to find out.
When Is the Tribe Nine EOS?
Tribe Nine is officially shutting down on November 27th, 2025. Along with the shutdown news, Akatsuki Games has also confirmed that Chapter 4 of the main story won’t be coming. Yeah, just after the game had started dropping some big hints about what was coming next. It’s really disappointing.
As of May 15th, all new updates, features, bug fixes, and content releases have been cancelled. So, the adjustments or new features mentioned earlier in-game notices are all officially off the table.
Two characters, Ichinosuke Akiba and Saizo Akiba, who were supposed to join the roster, won’t be added anymore either.
Next, refunds will be issued for Paid Enigma Entities spent on things like Armed Support, Advanced Support, and the Support Contract – Revenio. The refunds will kick in after the Revenio contract ends.
Also, you can no longer buy Enigma Entities or Daily Passes, whether through the app or the web store. You can still use the Enigma Entities you already have until the official shutdown of Tribe Nine.
Why Did It Fail, So Soon?
Tribe Nine is a free-to-play extreme action RPG with a unique style and worldbuilding. It’s a good game, but right from the beginning, things weren’t going great for it.
It had a very slow release schedule with just one story chapter and one event in three months. Also, there really wasn’t much reason for players to spend. You could build a solid team with one pull, and you didn’t really need dupes, which was great for the players but not for the devs.
I feel like going gacha was a gamble for Tribe Nine, and it didn’t pay off. Nonetheless, it’s still available to play till November 27th. So, check it out on the Google Play Store, if you haven’t already.
