ustwo has released their highly anticipated VR puzzle game Land’s End

ustwo, the developers behind a good amount of really great games including Monument Valley, have released their highly anticipated virtual reality puzzle game Land’s End. Not too long ago when we were talking about this game, it was mentioned that this would be out in time for the Samsung Gear VR release. It appears that ended up a reality.

For those of you not familiar with this game, Land’s End is all about star constellations. Players will be forming different constellations with the rocks in each stage, with everything taking place around different uniquely designed islands. The goal is to awaken an ancient civilization which is done by forming these constellations.

Players will start off with a sort of tutorial-style first couple of stages in order to learn the game. Your first task is to look at a point on a rock, then draw a line to another point with a beam of light, which is done by turning your head. This is how you will be forming all of the constellations. From there you lift these constellations into the air with telekinesis in order to make them a reality. Eventually you will awaken the ancient civilization.

As you can see, the visual style doesn’t stray too far from Monument Valley, which isn’t a bad thing at all. Actually quite the opposite. This isn’t a port of a mobile game either, but a game designed specifically for Virtual Reality. If you have an Innovator Edition Gear VR headset, you can pick up Land’s End now for $7.99 from the Oculus Store, otherwise you’ll be able to grab it once your Consumer Edition headset arrives.
