Crunchyroll has added White Day: A Labyrinth Named School to its Android Game Vault. Originally a Korean cult hit from 2001, White Day is as spooky as it gets. On Android, the remake was released in November 2015 in South Korea.

Back in 2015, the game was known as White Day: The School globally. It was developed by ROI Games (also known as Sonnori) and Gachyon Soft for mobile. A port for Windows and PS4 was released in 2017 and published by PQube in the West.

White Day: A Labyrinth Named School is a survival horror video game

It traps you in a haunted high school overnight and dares you to survive with just your wits and a flashlight. You play as Hee-Min Lee, a new student at Yeondu High School. She sneaks into the school one night to leave a gift for his crush.

But then, the school locks down and everything spirals into a nightmare. You start getting hunted by a deranged janitor and chased by spirits. Meanwhile, you also uncover secrets, solve puzzles, and try to figure a way out.

Unlike many horror games that lean on combat or jump scares, White Day: A Labyrinth Named School relies on atmosphere and tension. It’s full of pitch-dark corridors lit only by torchlight. And because puzzle solutions shift every time you play, there’s no way to rely on memory or guides.

It Has Multiple Endings

There are nine different endings, all based on the relationships you build with other trapped students. Saving them, ignoring them, or sacrificing them changes where the story goes and what kind of horrors you face.

Touch controls work fine, and the game also supports Bluetooth controllers. If you have a Crunchyroll subscription, get the game from the Google Play Store.
