The gaming themed Android tablet Wikipad has had a new OTA update pushed out to it today. This update brings a crisp new version of Android to the tablet, that being Android 4.2, as well as some other much needed features including control mapping. Wikipad has also announced a new content partner which comes in the form of WildTangent.
WildTangent (now pre-loaded on Wikipad) is an interesting service which offers up games you can rent for a small fee. You can also buy games through WildTangent if you happen to like the game you’ve rented. On Android it is the same thing but with Android games instead of video games for PC.
Control mapping is now available for Wikipad owners to take advantage of as well. This means you can properly set up the physical controls that the Wikipad comes with in order to play your favorite games much easier.
Those three features are the major additions to the Wikipad. There are some other minimal changes as well. If you want to buy one of these tablets, it’ll set you back $250 and can be ordered through the company’s website.
