Wings of Heroes has rolled out a new update that introduces Formations. The addition makes cooperation between players a much bigger part of the gameplay. There are also other new events and features added to the game. Keep reading to get the full scoop.

What do Formations do in Wings of Heroes?

It’s a feature that lets squadron members choose a specific wingman and head into battle together. It builds on the existing squadron system by giving players the option to directly invite a teammate to fly with them.

Each invitation lasts for a set time before it expires. Once accepted, the two pilots can take part in fights side by side, share victories, and build stronger connections through coordinated teamwork.

Formations expands the game’s social space, encouraging longer sessions and tighter bonds among players. Apparently, it was one of the most requested additions from the community.

The game has already been expanding in other areas, too. Not long ago, the devs added the Total Defense PvE mode, bringing a different type of challenge to complement the competitive side.

And earlier this year, the game added pilot avatars, a feature exclusively for personalisation and self-expression. The avatars, obtainable through events, competitions, and rewards, let you showcase achievements and create a distinct identity.

Meanwhile, there’s a big event coming up

Starting tomorrow, you can relive Operation Market Garden with new rewards and historic battles. The event lets you take part in immersive, reimagined battles. And you can earn new thematic skins and claim valuable in-game rewards.

The popular Wheel of Fortune feature is also returning. It gives pilots more ways to collect rare items while honouring a pivotal WWII campaign. So, get the game from the Google Play Store if you haven’t already.
