Yu Yu Hakusho: Slugfest is now available on mobile. The RPG has been officially licensed and developed by Zenifun Technology, a Hong Kong studio. It brings Yoshihiro Togashi’s world of spirit detectives, demon realms, and martial arts tournaments to life.

The original manga series debuted in November 1990. It was written and illustrated by Yoshihiro Togashi and was shaped by his love for horror films, Buddhist mythology, and the supernatural. It had everything a good manga should have: street fights, great characters, afterlife bureaucracy, and demon showdowns and tournaments.

So, what happens in Yu Yu Hakusho: Slugfest?

Set in the same universe as the original manga and anime, the game starts where it all began. Yusuke Urameshi, a 14-year-old delinquent, dies while saving a child from a car accident.

It follows a strange journey through the afterlife as Yusuke earns the role of Underworld Detective. He solves supernatural cases with increasing intensity as the series shifts towards high-stakes combat.

You can form teams using Kuwabara, Hiei, Kurama, Genkai, Younger Toguro, Sensui, and Yomi. Each character brings unique skills to the battlefield, and you can mix and match them to discover tactical advantages.

It’s a gacha system, so pulling for your favourites is part of the loop. You can play in PvE and pull characters through the Demon World or play in competitive PvP and GVG matches in Dark Tournament mode.

Yu Yu Hakusho: Slugfest doesn’t just recreate the main narrative. It dives into deeper arcs including the hole to the Demon Realm and the Demon World Tournament. So, you get plenty of new content, too. Take a look at the game below.
