So March is a month full of madness. Spring is getting into full swing and everyone is getting itchy feet to get outside and enjoy the weather, at least in most places anyways. There are conferences and events all over the place, March Madness basketball and more. So to add to the craziness, we are giving away money!
Another game we got to get some serious face time with was Sega’s upcoming Sonic 4 Episode II title for quad-core Android devices. Aside from being able to get a good idea of how the game looks and plays, there is also a rumored release date floating around right now as well although no official confirmation of this date has been given.
Last week we finally got to see some gameplay in a new preview trailer for Rovio’s newest addition to the Angry Birds franchise called Angry Birds Space. Well now video has come out of the SXSW event currently going on in Austin, TX which shows some actual hands-on playing of the game itself.
After reading the title of this article you might be thinking to yourself “I wonder if this is the Double Dragon from back in the day on the older consoles and in the arcade?”. Well we are happy to inform you that it is indeed that Double Dragon you are thinking of.
We had plenty of hands-on time with a lot of games during GDC 2012 which just ended on Friday and one game on display over at the nVidia booth was the MMOFPS we have been talking about for quite some time that is being developed by Bridea called Renaissance THD.
Back during CES 2012 we got some hands-on time with Sega’s upcoming sports title called Virtua Tennis Challenge which will be coming to Android. During GDC 2012 and our visit with Sega, we managed to get an update so to when we can expect this game to arrive on Google Play.
We met up with ngmoco at GDC 2012 where we talked about the upcoming improvements heading to DragonCraft and Skyfall, which we will be covering in a separate article. The other topic of conversation was a new game that will be making its way to Android soon called Dreamtopia.
Developers of the hit games Battleheart and Zombieville USA, Mika Mobile, has announced today that they will no longer be spending time developing their games for Android. Even in light of the recent change to the Android Market where the file size limit for secondary downloads was increased to 4GB, they have to close up shop regarding Android.
Spacetime Studios were on hand at GDC 2012 showing off their upcoming MMORPG for Android called Dark Legends. Let it be known right now this is not the Twilight type of vampire in this game with the whole sparkly drama filled emotional wreck the movies are. Instead, this game contains more of the True Blood type of vampire.
Continuing on with the sale to celebrate the re-branding of the Android Market to Google Play, a few new games have been added to the list of titles on sale for $0.49 including Gameloft’s Modern Combat 3: Fallen Nation and Gamevil’s Colosseum.
