Acquire, the game publisher behind Tenchu, Akiba’s Trip, and Fort Raiders SMAAASH! have announced today that they will be releasing another game. Called “Road to Dragon’s”, this game is slated to be released on March 19th. While it’ll be new to the rest of the world, the game has already been downloaded over three million times in Japan, since its release there in 2012.
Acquire, the Tokyo-based game development studio behind the Way of The Samurai and Tenchu series, has announced their newest game today which will be heading to Android in just over a week’s time. The new game is called Fort Raiders Smaaash! and it is a new combat strategy type of game.
Acquire, who are the developers of the rather unique platformer called SUMIONI Demon Arts THD that was recently released for Tegra-based devices, have had their next title appear on Tegra Zone and Google Play. Orgarhythm THD, as it is called, is a game we briefly mentioned back a few months ago when we were talking about upcoming games heading our way for Tegra-based devices.
While not 100% Android related gaming news this is pretty big news either way and it will have something to do with Android in the future. Rumor has it that a few companies are interested in acquiring Chillingo who were the publishers that released Angry Birds as well as the new smash hit Cut The Rope onto the iOS platform. The main one interested? EA.
