We’ve already talked about one Skylanders game that was supposed to come to Android back during E3 2012 but for whatever reason never actually made it to mobile. However Activision has rectified this problem by releasing another Skylanders game instead called Skylanders: Cloud Patrol.

Project Phoenix is an interesting mix of genres, sporting squad-based RTS gameplay meshed with RPG elements and storylines heavily influenced by the entire JRPG genre. To accomplish this feat, almost everyone on the entire development team from both the East and the West have worked on major Triple-A titles ranging from Diablo 3 to various Final Fantasy games, Halo to L.A. Noire and everything in between.
During the GameStop Expo, pretty much every Android console maker was there. Ouya, of course, would be one of those companies and the biggest thing they were promoting was the upcoming The Walking Dead game which TellTale Games will be bringing to Ouya later this year.
Crescent Moon Games has unleashed their newest title onto Google Play called Siegecraft Defender. While this may look like a standard tower defense game at first glance, Siegecraft Defender is definitely a lot more than that, almost taking the form of a MOBA in certain way with some of the game’s mechanics.
Created by the maker of Prince of Persia, Jordan Mechner, The Last Express (originally released onto PC in 1997) is another one of this game developer’s premier titles which is now available on Google Play thanks to DotEmu. The Last Express takes place in 1914 on the Orient Express train where players will be interacting with 30+ characters on-board the train itself.
Frogmind Games has announced that they will be bringing their multi-award winning atmospheric action platformer Badland to Android in the near future. For those of you not familiar with this game, Badland has been available on iOS for a bit now, netting over 7 million downloads in the process. Now Android games will soon be able to get their hands on it.
You may have noticed that we haven’t posted much the past couple of days. That was because we had plenty of meetings over the past couple of days as well as some events to go to. Here in Las Vegas, GameStop held their annual expo which is sort of like a mini E3 and believe it or not, this year’s expo had a decent amount of mobile news.
OrangePixel has been working on a Gauntlet style for quite some time now called Heroes of Loot. Up until now we haven’t really had a solid release date for this game but thanks to a tweet over on their Twitter account today, we now know that Heroes of Loot will be arriving onto Android on September 12th, 2013 and possibly Ouya as well on the same day.
Newest addition to the Professor Layton series will be arriving onto Android in the near future
Level-5 has announced that the newest addition in the Professor Layton series of games will actually be arriving onto mobile devices when it is released. Layton 7 will be released onto Android and iOS when it is ready and the game itself is quite different than previous Layton titles.
It is about that time once again to round up this week’s Android games that are on sale right now. While we didn’t do one mid-week this week due to covering Gamescom 2013, we do get to do a round-up for the end of this week. This week’s list isn’t the biggest in the world but each game on here is a pretty good title.
