Fans of games such as Doodle Jump and other titles where you have to climb as high as you can to reach the goal of each stage while dodging obstacles and enemies will enjoy this game. [GDC 2011] Gamebook Adventures to come to Android in the future. Choose your own adventure-style awesomeness.
We got to sit down with a few developers from Australia and even though they are mostly iOS developers, they are planning to bring their games to Android as well. One such developer is Tin Man Games which produces the series called Gamebook Adventures. These are a ‘choose your own adventure’ type of game.
Another game, or series of games actually, that we got to check out and get some hands-on time with back at CES 2011 was Hardwood Solitaire IV by Silver Creek Entertainment. This game is actually a set of 10 different solitaire games to play but unlike most solitaire games for any system, visually this game was stunning.
This is another game we got to play with back in CES 2011. Coming from Halfbrick, the crew that brought us Fruit Ninja, comes Fruit Ninja THD. This is a high definition version of the Fruit Ninja game with all the graphics redone for Tegra 2 Android devices. When we played this at CES 2011, it looked 100x better.
There are only a few good pinball games available on the Android Market and after awhile they do get kind of boring. It also comes with some other features not yet seen in any other pinball game for Android.

Bad jokes aside, it seems they are doing a very good job of expanding their line-up of games as another developer has signed on with them. Just announced was the signing of GyLgames onto the Hyperbees family.
A new game was recently released onto the Android Market from developer HandyGames called Super Dynamite Fishing. As the name suggests, you’ll be fishing with sticks of dynamite (among other items) which, honestly, is how fishing should be done, if it were legal. Since it is not legal, however, we can at least do it in this game.
Doodle Jump’s developers, Lima Sky, sign agreement with Universal and Illumination Entertainment for… a bonus level?
Just in case you are still thinking that mobile gaming is a bit of a fad, it seems that it is a lot more influential then some people might think. In an agreement with Universal and Illumination Entertainment, Doodle Jump developers Lima Sky will add an Easter-themed bonus level to the game in an upcoming update.
Our friends over at OrangePixel have been busy adding new content to their games and the latest to get a big boost in features is MiniArmy. If you haven’t played MiniArmy yet, you can check out our review but in a nutshell, it is a revised version of the classic Snake game in a way that only OrangePixel can do it.
Back in the beginning of November we reported on Fruit Ninja by Halfbrick being slated to receive an update which will bring the Arcade mode everyone has been wanting to the Android version in the near future. While the iOS version got the update pretty quick, Android gamers were starting to feel like it’d never come.
