Last week we went over to the ngmoco offices over in San Francisco to take a look at two of their new games coming to Android soon. The first is an interesting new RPG title called Skyfall which is just launching as a beta starting today. We got to sit down and play this game last week and it’s pretty unique.
Yesterday Glu Mobile announced their upcoming line-up of freemium games coming to both Android and iOS platforms. Along with the announcement they also released a preview video that shows off these upcoming titles which are due out by the end of this year.
HandyGames’ rather enjoyable, and somewhat humorous, Sokoban-style puzzle game called Aporkalypse – Pigs of Doom has been updated with a brand new chapter. This second chapter, and the update that contains it, brings new levels, new features and of course, plenty of bug fixes as well.
The other day we reported on Princess Punt THD and how it briefly appeared in the Tegra Zone store then just as quickly disappeared. Then yesterday the fully compatible non-Tegra version got released and the THD Tegra 2 version was no where to be seen.
Way back in March of this year we reported on a FreeCiv project aimed at bringing the open source project over to Android. There is a new port now available from another developer that seems to be running pretty awesomely actually on Android devices.
Invictus Games has released their mobile version of their PC/Console game Greed Corp. Invictus Games is also responsible for the upcoming Race of Champions game for Android which looks pretty slick itself. Greed Corp HD is a turn-based strategy game that also takes into account the effects of resource gathering on your lands environment.
Fans of stickman wars or fights now have a side-scrolling action RPG title from Gamevil to enjoy. There are a few other stickman type combat games on the Android Market but for the most part then are just alright. This is the first episode in what will be a series of Stickman games from Gamevil.
A few days ago we reported on a game that had appeared onto the Tegra Zone app called Princess Punt THD which is a new game developed by the same people responsible for one of the more popular MMORPG titles out there called Ragnarok Online. It disappeared off Tegra Zone shortly after our article but it’s back and now available to download.
There are plenty of clones out there in the world of video games, it’s a natural occurrence in pretty much every platform and genre. There are Minecraft clones, Angry Birds clones and clones of pretty much any game that happens to be a hit. Cut the Birds takes cloning to a new level though but taking from two games and meshing it into one.
After dropping two hit games on the Android Market in the past called Star Traders and Cyber Knights, the Trese Brothers have launched a new title hoping to make it three straight wins for them called Templar Assault. This game is a tactical squad-based RPG similar in nature in theme to games like Warhammer 40k.
