Ten days ago we talked about a game coming to Android that not only featured some great visuals but some pretty interesting and fun gravity defying game mechanics called Inertia: Escape Velocity. Well Red Fly Studios has unleashed this bad boy onto the Android Market today.
We already know that Sonic the Hedgehog from Sega is on the way to Android in December and, in fact, you can get an early copy if you happen to buy an Android tablet from GameStop as it comes pre-loaded on them. However, this new Sonic title came out of left field and is currently only available on the Japanese Android Market.
Over the past month or so we’ve been talking about the hit indie game from 2D Boy called World of Goo and that it would be coming to Android. In fact last week we mentioned that it would be arriving today and 2D Boy hasn’t disappointed us! World of Goo is now available on the Android Market.

Back in the early ’90s there was a game released called Dizzy: Prince of the Yolkfolk for the home computers that existed back then such as the Commodore 64 and other older PCs. This old school game is getting a facelift and coming into the modern age thanks to developers Codemasters.
There is a new game coming to Android from Red Fly Studios called Inertia: Escape Velocity which is a physics-based action platformer. You will be use the game’s unique gameplay mechanic to manipulate gravity in order to float and glide through each level, navigating around force fields, barriers, and other obstacles, while collecting space debris for points.
A new physics-based puzzle game has landed on the Android Market today from developers Red Piston called Banzai Blowfish. Combining the platform gaming genre with Angry Birds mechanics, Banzai Blowfish is sort of like Sprinkle but you’re shooting your samurai blowfish around.
YoYo Games in the past have released quiet a few rather interesting and fun games onto Android including They Need To Be Fed and Karoshi. While some titles they release quietly, the ones they announce ahead of time, like the upcoming platform puzzler called Rick O’Shea, are the ones you have to keep an eye out for.
Well here is a bit of a chance of pace when talking about the Xperia Play and games for Android. Sega has confirmed that, while the Sonic CD game is supposed to support game controlled, it will not be optimized for the Xperia Play, at least not right now.
