Since the beginning of the beta testing phase that Mojang started with Minecraft: Pocket Edition and the upcoming 0.8.0 update, there have been a slew of changes and tweaks made to the game between then and now. However the final build of the update has been finished and the 0.8.0 update has been submitted to Apple for approval. It has been stated officially that the Android release will launch at the same time as the iOS one does.

Recently we talked about the upcoming Minecraft: Pocket Edition 0.8.0 update and some of the confirmed new features and bug fixes that would be coming with it when the update actually arrives in the near future. All of the features and bug fixes we talked about in our last article are still confirmed for the 0.8.0 update but new goodies have been added to the list as well.
It has been awhile since we got to talk about a major update to Minecraft: Pocket Edition since the past few updates have been minor version increases, mostly dealing with bug fixes pertaining to Minecraft Pocket Realms. Well now we finally get to talk about the next major update which will be version 0.8.0 and basically confirms that Redstone is on the way to the game very soon.
We have been talking about getting our own official Minecraft: Pocket Edition servers online for our readers to play on. Well now that Mojang has added support for people to easily log into external servers within Minecraft: Pocket Edition, it is about that time for our first server to go live.
The other day Mojang rolled out the 0.7.4 update for Minecraft: Pocket Edition for both iOS and Android users. Today we see another quick update pushed out onto Google Play with version 0.7.5. as well. There isn’t a whole lot of news regarding this update as it is mostly just a bug fixing update, squashing a bunch of additional bugs in the game.
A quick update for Minecraft: Pocket Edition has arrived onto Android. This update, version 0.7.4., brings with it the ability to ignite Creepers by using flint and steel. Of course this can be a bit dangerous to do but the result and be pretty entertaining as well. However this is a minor feature for this update.
Minecraft: Pocket Edition 0.7.3 update now live, comes with better skies, double chests and more
The Minecraft: Pocket Edition 0.7.3 update that we’ve been talking about and keeping our eye out for has finally arrived. This update brings with it a multitude of fixes and improvements for Minecraft Pocket Realms but also some additional content that we touched on in our past coverage of this update.
The Minecraft: Pocket Edition 0.7.3 looks to be getting closer to finally being released onto Android and iOS. This update will feature mostly bug fixes since Minecraft Pocket Realms has been released in its beta for since the 0.7.0 update. However, it isn’t all bug fixes that will be coming with this update.
Mojang has finally pushed out the 0.7.2 update for Minecraft: Pocket Edition and while this particular update is mostly geared towards bug fixes, there are a few little new features to check out. For starters, player nametags should be available now with multiplayer. Also each server will now show what seed was used to render the map it is hosting.
