A few days ago another update hit the Pocket Legends world. While everyone has been enjoying the Winter Festival and the new town that was released in the update that included the Winter Festival, another update was pushed out. This update included yet another town, more quests and the ability to earn Platinum, the in-game currency.
Pocket Gem, which recently changed their name from Streetview Labs in case you don’t recognize the new name, just finished a massive round of funding which netted the company $5 million. While this is great, better news is regarding their Tap series of games and the fact that they will be expanding onto Android.
Hear that sound? That is the sound of all of the writers here, save for myself, rushing to their Android phones to log into Pocket Legends to play the newest content update. The Winter Festival is now live and hopping, also a new town with new quests and also dual wielding weapons is now possible.
While details are still coming out about the Holiday content that is coming to Pocket Legends shortly, by the looks of things there is a lot in store for players. Santa costumes complete with a giant beard, Gingerbread man cookies (go figure), presents and what looks like a special dungeon quest(s) to help captured elves! Want a peek at it?
Didn’t win some Android antennas in the scavenger hunt Spacetime Studios held when Pocket Legends for Android was released? Missed that awesome Android costume giveaway as well? Well you still have a chance! You’ll have to keep an eye on their Facebook page though for clues to where the Android is located each day.
The awesome game Pocket Legends has grown some 125,000 account since it came to Android, probably more now. To celebrate, Spacetime Studios held a week long Scavenger Hunt in which people could find the lovable robot in-game and get some green antennas. We also were one of the sites to be lucky enough to give away a limited edition Android character.
Yesterday we mentioned that Pocket Legends is hosting a scavenger hunt where every day our little green mascot will be hiding somewhere in game and if you follow the Pocket Legends Twitter you will see a clue or two as to where he is. Once you find him, wave to him and win a pair of Android antennas. We also mentioned we had something else to giveaway!
Measured Software’s newest title on the market (now complete with OpenFeint) Pocket Racing is what mobile gaming is supposed to be. It’s fast, it’s addicting and best of all it’s good. An online multiplayer mode will come out sometime in the future. Continue past the break for the full review.
Apparently we were under a rock or perhaps sleeping when this was announced a few days ago. Pocket Legends is now taking sign-ups for the closed beta of the Android version of the game. Interestingly enough though, you have to be a current player to get into the closed beta which means you need an iOS device and an Android device.
