While some of you on the east coast of North America are beginning to wake up, and while people elsewhere in the world are getting off work or maybe getting ready to go to sleep, Warballoon Games has release a nice lengthy video of the first 20 minutes of gameplay for Star Command for everyone to enjoy with their morning coffee or after work beer.

For those of you familiar with Double Fine’s upcoming game that had a very successful Kickstarter campaign, it was originally called Double Fine’s Adventure. It has been officially renamed to Double Fine’s Broken Age and now we have a first trailer available to watch. For those of you who are unfamiliar with this game, this will mostly be a point-and-click adventure game that features two stories that co-exist and intertwine with each other.
For those of you who are more about having a compact, more portable, Android console instead of OUYA are probably more interested in PlayJam’s GameStick which did pretty damn good on Kickstarter and has since progressed nicely including a new design for their controller. We’ve seen plenty of pictures and video of GameStick and now anyone attending GDC 2013 next week will be able to check GameStick out in person as well.
Glu Mobile has begun teasing their upcoming third-person shooter called Frontline Commando: D-Day which, as the name suggests, is based around WWII. Glu is already building up the hype machine for this game with a new trailer for it as well as a few additional details regarding the game and what will come with it.
So we have seen a couple of trailers, a few developer diary videos and a variety of screenshots regarding EA’s upcoming Real Racing 3 game. We’ve also been hit with the news that Real Racing 3 will be a free-to-play game where players will be able to buy the game’s secondary currency, Gold Coins, in order to speed up vehicle repair and upgrade times.
We’ve talked a lot about nVidia’s upcoming handheld gaming system Project Shield already which sports a Tegra 4 chipset and will be running the latest version of Android when it’s released. We’ve also mentioned there is a separate UI which is focused on gaming where you can play games you’ve purchased on Google Play, Tegra-optimized games from Tegra Zone or PC games streamed from your PC to your Project Shield unit.
The folks at Firemonkeys have released a new developer diary video which this time talks about the multiplayer functionality that will be arriving with Real Racing 3. The multiplayer mode, called Time Shift Multiplayer, will allow players to race against other people anyone, anytime and even if they are offline.
Last week the OUYA developer units were sent out and the company decided to unbox one on video in order to give us all a bit of a quick rundown as to what these developer units look like and come with. Now one developer has gone to video with his full walkthrough of the developer units showing off pretty much everything.
Square Enix seems to be on a roll this week when it comes to their mobile games, first with a massive sale on almost all of their games on Google Play, and now we have a new trailer for their upcoming Final Fantasy IV game which iOS gamers are getting today apparently while us Android gamers have to wait a little longer. While it is exciting to see the trailer for Final Fantasy IV, the real exciting news is at the end of it where Square Enix teases that Final Fantasy V is on the way as well as other games as well.
Fans of Anomaly: Warzone Earth have some good news today as 11 Bit Studios has confirmed the sequel to their tower offense game will be arriving on Android some time between now and Christmas. That means Anomaly Korea will land on Google Play at some point over the next 11 days. We’ve had the privilege of having been playing an early preview build of Anolomay Korea over the past couple of weeks and we can say you won’t be disappointed.
