Android enthusiasts swear that vanilla Android is the best user interface for the operating system. Android device manufacturers tend to disagree. They depend on custom interfaces to give their devices a unique look that’s unlike anything a competitor offers. Starting this summer, Sharp will introduce a new UI for its Aquos smartphones called “Feel UX.”

Sharp has come out to showcase their new Evangelion Android phone which, for what we see in the photos, is extremely drool worthy, especial for those of you who are fans of the anime. This particular device is apparently to coincide with the release of the upcoming Neon Genesis Evangelion movie.
Sharp brought over their 3D glasses-free Android phones to CES 2011 and of course we had to test them out, especially with the promise of some major companies like Capcom releasing games in 3D for the device. There are literally the same ones that were recently released in Japan and sport the same specs including language files.
Big name veteran game developer Konami announced today that they have 2 games ready for the glasses-free Sharp Galapagos phones that recently landed in Japan and soon the US as well. “Mobile Pawafuru Proyaku 3D” and “Golfriends!” are the names of the two games for these pretty cool Android devices.
Only about a week or so ago we reported on Sharp announcing that they would be releasing glasses-free 3D Android phones in Japan. Well news from Sharp today has the company announcing that they will also be bringing these 3D phones across the big blue puddle and will be made available here in the US in 2011.
It seems as though the mobile gaming arena is heating up a bit more with the sudden announcement of Sharp bringing a phone into the mix which will run Android and provide… 3D glasses-free gaming and movies. Named the Galapagos, this Android device will have a few 3D games and movies available at the time of launch.
