While non-mobile platforms and gamers are happy at today’s announcement that Episode 3 in Telltale Games’ Batman series is now available for them to play, mobile gamers can finally start playing the game now as well with the arrival of Episode 1: Realm of Shadows onto Android.

Last month, we covered the release of a game called Mine Colony. In the last several weeks, the game has received a bit of an overhaul. For those unfamiliar with the game, it’s a side scrolling game that focuses on building, crafting, and survival, with a Minecraft feel to the graphics and setting of the game.
Borderlands is a well established gaming franchise, focusing on first person shooting with some RPG elements. It uses the cell shading that it’s well known for, along with quirky humor. When it was announced several months ago that it was being ported over to Android, on Nvidia hardware to be specific, I was thrilled, having enjoyed both the original as well as the sequel. This game is easily as good as the others, though my experience playing it wasn’t.

Peter Molyneux’s game development studio called 22Cans, which is currently dealing with the whole Godus issue, has apparently soft launched (or are testing) a new game for mobile called The Trail (published by Kongregate). As it stands right now, it appears that this game is only available in the Philippines right now, which is why we are not sure if it is a soft launch or a beta testing phase, since that regions is used for both usually. That or 22Cans accidentally released it.
AdventureQuest as a franchise has been around for awhile now, even having a few spin-off mini-games made from it. The more popular version of this game comes in the form of an online flash game simply called AdventureQuest that came with more of a 2D style of visuals. Now that is getting remade with 3D visuals and other improvements, along with a mobile version as well called AdventureQuest 3D.
While many first-person shooter games aim to deliver convincingly realistic battle simulations based in the real-world, Shadow Warrior 2 strives for the opposite. Offbeat, over-the-top and gore-drenched, Shadow Warrior 2 is a throwback to non-stop action fueled FPS games of the past but features modern, detailed visuals that take advantage of next-generation gaming hardware.
Visual Novels have been a thriving form of gaming on Android for some time. One Day in London is one of those game’s that’s just been ported over to the platform. In this game, players will be given the opportunity to determine how the game ends, through choices made in a non-linear format.
Ubisoft and DreamWorks have come together to develop an official Trolls game which has now officially been released onto Google Play as of today. The game, which is called Trolls: Crazy Party Forest, is based off of the upcoming animated DreamWorks movie that is simply called Trolls.
Telltale Games has decided to make a bit of a pricing switch for their Season Premier episode of Minecraft: Story Mode on multiple platforms. Originally costing $4.99, anyone who doesn’t have this episode, called Episode 1: Order of the Stone, can now pick it up for a lot less.

While this news may fall into the realm of general mobile gaming news, it is still pretty interesting to see a company like Nintendo pick up technology to use with their new portable gaming console that has originally been used in higher-end Android devices and, more specifically, Nvidia’s own Shield line of Android gaming devices. Nintendo announced this morning that their new portable gaming console, called the Nintendo Switch, will be powered by Nvidia’s Tegra processor.
