Some more big gaming news today coming down the pipeline. With GREE’s expansion, thanks to merging with OpenFeint after buying it, a slew of big name developers have already signed on to be part of the service including the likes of Sega, Capcom, Square Enix, and Namco-Bandi to name a few.
Day: 6 December 2011
Before we get into this I’ll let you feint right now and get it over with. Done? Alright moving along, yes a game from Nintendo is coming but it’s not actually from Nintendo. It’s a game from the Nintendo DS system, a rather popular one at that called Soul Bubbles.
There are angry birds and then there are angry birds. In a new game from EasyFunGame, you are a rather angry bird, actually a chicken to be exact, who happens to be heavily armed with the sole purpose of destroying all the monsters in each stage of this dual-stick 3D action game.
In this edition of our Hidden Gem series, we have an interesting puzzle game going by the name of EDGE from 365 Games. In EDGE you move around a block with the intent of collecting the smaller multicolored cubes while on your way to the end of each stage.
We talked about a game coming to Android a few weeks back called Train Conductor 2: USA from The Voxel Agents. This is a unique time management/strategy game where you have to connect the track in each stage while managing incoming trains to ensure that they reach their proper destination.
Rockstar Games has let the word out that Grand Theft Auto III will be landing on Android and iOS December 13th which is next week! They were also nice enough to release some screenshots of the mobile version of the game which is celebrating it’s 10-year Anniversary.
Facebook has a lot of games with a large portion of them probably being decent while a select few are actually really high quality games. One such game, which is also available to play outside of Facebook as a browser-based title is a futuristic FPS game built using Unity3D called Uberstrike.
There is something strange going on with the Android Market these days. While a plethora of rumors are going around about an extended refund period (which is not true, it’s still 15mins), now we are seeing a bunch of popular apps and games priced at a measly $0.10 including titles like Minecraft: Pocket Edition.
