The Amiga classic top-down shooter Alien Breed with be launching on Google Play tomorrow

If you happen to own a device that is Playstation Certified then you’ve probably already have been enjoying the Amiga classic game Alien Breed since mid-November of last year. The rest of the Android world who doesn’t have access to Playstation Mobile have been left out in the cold, being unable to play this classic top-down shooter game. That is until now.

Team 17 has announced that Alien Breed will be launching on Google Play tomorrow which means everyone will now be able to play this game and relive some of those childhood memories of shooting and massacring a multitude of aliens. This version of the game, like the Playstation Mobile one, will give players the option to play the game with either the old school Amiga graphics you may have experienced in the past or the new enhanced visuals.

Alien Breed Features:

– Classic Mode: Play using the original graphics, music and controls.
– Enhanced Mode: Featuring enhanced graphics, audio and controls.
– 4 New Levels: entirely new levels that intersect with the original Alien Breed story
– 6 original Alien Breed levels
– 12 Alien Breed Special Edition levels
– Gree leaderboards and awards
– Gametel support

This new revamped version of the Amiga classic comes with additional new levels and content that were not in the original game as well as all the original content as well. Team 17 has kept the new content within the storyline of the original game as well which is nice for a change instead of making up a whole new story that wouldn’t really fit in the Alien Breed universe.

If you’ve been waiting to play Alien Breed on your Android device but haven’t had access to Playstation Mobile, as of tomorrow you will be able to grab yourself a copy off of Google Play for $4.99 and get back to the good old days of killing pixel aliens.
