A classic top-down shooter has been remade and will be making its way to Playstation Mobile on November 17th, 2012. Coming from the folks over at Team17 Digital Limited, Alien Breed will be making its new debut appearance on mobile devices that are Playstation Certified in ten days, bringing with it the same classic shooter gameplay you may have enjoyed back in 1991 when it was originally released.
Alien Breed is a survival-horror game that features a top-down perspective with the option to choose either the old school Amiga graphics you may have experienced in the past or the new enhanced visuals that will be coming with this revamped version of the game. While the visuals have been redone, the same challenging gameplay the original game featured has remained untouched.
Alien Breed Features:
• Classic Mode – Play using the original graphics, music and controls
• Enhanced Mode – Featuring enhanced graphics, audio and controls
• 8 New Levels – entirely new levels that intersect with the original Alien Breed story
• 6 original Alien Breed levels
• 12 Alien Breed Special Edition levels
While the game will feature all the original levels it used to come with, Team17 have added 8 new levels that bring new content to the game but actually stay within the Alien Breed storyline instead of just being simple additional levels. That means the storyline of Alien Breed will actually be expanded upon a bit.
Alien Breed will feature an in-game store that contains optional in-game purchases for those of you who may need a little extra help, supplying you with the option to buy items like extra ammo, more keys and weapons. Of course this is completely optional and doesn’t limit you to game progress. Like we mentioned earlier, Alien Breed will appear in the Playstation Mobile store for Playstation Certified Android devices on November 17th, 2012 and will set you back around $5.00 if Team17 uses the current currency conversion rate to price it from their £3.19/€3.99 price for Europe.
