DotEmu unleashes the Raiden Legacy set onto Ouya

DotEmu has launched their first title for the Android-powered game console Ouya today and this first title is actually a package deal. Raiden Legacy, which is currently available on Google Play as well, contains four Raiden games: Raiden, Raiden Fighters, Raiden Fighters 2 and Raiden Fighters Jet.

There are a few key points with this package that you’ll want to know about. First, if you don’t know what the Raiden games are, these are some of the more popular top-down scrolling shooters from back in the day. This is also not just a simple direct port of the Android version of the game that you’ll find on Google Play. These games have been adapted to TV screens so there are two screen modes you can choose from: Fullscreen or Original.

All four games now come with Ouya pad support. There are two difficulties to choose from, those being Medium and Hard. Lastly, there are three game modes to choose from: Arcade, Mission and Training. Arcade mode is just the original and actual game itself. Mission mode lets you select missions you’ve already completed so you can play them again. Training mode lets you practice the levels you’ve unlock but find the hardest.

If you own an Ouya, this is very much a package to consider buying. You’ll be able to try out the first levels of each Raiden game and if you want to buy it, all you have to pay is $3.99 for the entire package.
