For those of you eager to get your hands on the next installment in Gameloft’s Asphalt racing series, it turns out that the game has been delayed. According to one of the Gameloft Community Managers, the August 8th release date given during Google’s Nexus 7 press event was not an official release date.
While the August 8th, 2013 date was given during the press event where Google unveiled their new Nexus 7 tablet and showcased Asphalt 8: Airborne, this date was apparently not an official release date and was more of a general idea of when the game could arrive. Gameloft’s Community Manager Ryan has come out to say that there was no official release date announced but that the game has been delayed.
So when can you expect Asphalt 8: Airborne to land on Google Play? Well as of right now there is no definitive date for the game’s release so it could arrive later today or two months from now.
