Upcoming Asphalt 8: Airborne update will bring new cars, tracks and price tag

Gameloft’s newest racing game Asphalt 8: Airborne is set to get its first major update soon. This update will bring with it a new car along with the ability to add additional cars in the future at any time without the need for a major update. This means you could load up the game and one day find five new cars appearing out of the blue.

In addition to the new car, the update will bring new limited timed cups to compete in for new prizes such as credits, upgrades and cup exclusive cars. Speaking of upgrades, there will also be a few new boosts for you to take advantage of which will come in the form of a TuneKit, Nitro & Double Credits boosters. Players will also soon have the option for more customizable controls, letting you rearrange them to how you like.

Multiplayer will also be getting some love in this upcoming update with faster matchmaking and seven new reverse tracks to race on. This includes tracks from Nevada, Iceland, Tokyo and more. On top of all of these changes and additions to the game, there will be a new price tag. Aspahlt 8: Airborne will become a free game when this update arrive. However the IAP structure within the game won’t be changing at all.

As for when this update will arrive, no specific date has been announced. It was just released onto iOS so it shouldn’t be too long of a wait. Until then, you can check out the update trailer in the video above.
