9 new Android games you have to play this week

Meshi Quest Android

Let’s set one thing straight: this is very far from a stellar week for Android games. In fact, it was pretty difficult to fill this list with nine games worth playing.

But we’ve scoured the depths of Google Play to make sure you’ve got some stuff to keep you busy over the weekend. It might not be the best list we ever run, but there’s still a few games worth a shot.

The best new Android game this week: Meshi Quest: Five Star Kitchen

Meshi Quest: Five Star Kitchen is a brand new restaurant management simulator by Square Enix. You have to prepare and cook a variety of Japanese meals for a bunch of impatient customers.

Please them though, and you’ll earn a nice pay cheque to spend on upgrades and all new restaurants. Eventually, you’ll own a bunch of acclaimed restaurants in the town.

If this sounds good to you, go ahead and grab it right now on Google Play.

War Wings

If you ever wished you were a WWII fighter pilot – what were you thinking? Judgement aside, you could just play War Wings though.

You’ll take part in epic dogfights across the skies, in your very own customisable spitfire. You can pull off stunts and shoot down enemies in both solo and PvP battles.

Grab it on Google Play right now.

Piece Out

Piece Out is a minimalist atmospheric puzzler by Kumobius, the talented developers behind Bean Quest and Dreams.

You have to help a red block reach a destination on a shape, sliding and rotating other pieces out of its way. Grab it on Google Play right now.

Chaos Battle League

Chaos Battle League is strongly inspired by Clash Royale but with a different aesthetic. Instead of riffing on fantasy, it takes its cues from a variety of different themes like horror, history, and sci-fi.

The gameplay is very Clash Royale though, with the majority of the units copied straight over. You can change your turret type and use a variety of special attacks though.

Grab it on Google Play right now.

Soccer! Hero

Soccer! Hero is a real time multiplayer soccer game in which you compete in tournaments and career mode against your friends and randoms. It plays like a penalty shoot out, but with free kicks.

You can unlock new locations, kits, and balls as you improve your playing skills. All of these are found in bags earned while playing or taking part in mini games. Grab it now on Google Play.

Home Arcade

Home Arcade is a collection of fake arcade games inspired by classics you played back in the ’80s. It’s suitably silly, with games called Day of RockOning and Dee’s Nuts.

There are 10 games in total and leaderboards for each of them. If you’re the type that likes to compete with your friends, this is the game for you. Grab it on Google Play right now.

Tiny Dino World: Return

In Tiny Dino World, you have to build your own village, manage your villagers to ensure it runs smoothly, and build your own army of warriors and dinosaurs.

You can also declare war on other player’s villages, and compete in fierce dinosaur battles. Basically, if you love dinosaurs, go and grab this on Google Play right now.

Food Conga

Food Conga is a little bit like Crossy Road. You have to run around a variety of levels collecting ingredients for a variety of recipes. You have full control of where your character goes, but you can’t stop.

As you can expect, there are a bunch of obstacles and enemies to avoid. If you like games you can play with one hand, grab this on Google Play right now.

Bottom of the 9th

Bottom of the 9th is a multiplayer baseball card game inspired by the tabletop board game of the same name. You take charge of an underperforming baseball team and have to lead them to glory.

In gameplay terms, that involves choosing your team’s line up, outsmarting your opponent, and rolling dice to dictate the outcome. If that sounds good to you, go and grab it right now on Google Play.
