Ah, the weekend. You’re off work, enjoying time with family and friends. But that’s not the best part about the weekend. That trophy goes to Droid Gamers and its wealth of Android gaming goodness.

Yesterday we recommended a bunch of awesome new games, and today we’re rounding up all of the news you might have missed this week. So sit back, recline into your favourite chair, and read on.

The Clash of Clans builder returned as a Facebook camera filter

The builder recently left Clash of Clans and it wasn’t clear why. This week, it became clear – he travelled over to Facebook to become a camera filter.

Take a picture to post on Facebook now and you’ll find two new options. Using AR, you can capture the builder hammering away in any real location, or turn yourself into the builder. It’s as creepy as it sounds.

Square Enix held an awesome Final Fantasy sale

Square Enix held a Final Fantasy sale this week, reducing all of the classic games to a fraction of their usual price. The games discounted include: Final Fantasy IIIIIIVIV: After YearsVVI, and Dimensions.

We’re not sure what the reason for the sale is, but we won’t count our blessings. They’re still on sale for five more days though so follow the links above to grab any you want.

We saw the first footage of Black Desert Mobile

The PC MMORPG Black Desert Online is coming to mobile soon. It’s not a direct port, but a brand new version designed for the smaller screen.

Loads of gameplay footage was included in the teaser trailer as well. We saw an isometric camera angle, action packed combat, resource collecting, and PvP. It looks fantastic.

Iron Marines is coming to Android on September 14th

Iron Marines is an upcoming tower defence by the masters of the genre, Ironhide. That’s the developer behind the Kingdom Rush franchise, in case you’re wondering.

The trademark tower defence looks like it’s coming back in full force here, though with a renewed focus on offence as well. You’ll command a team of the eponymous marines to assault enemy bases.

This week, Ironhide finally announced that Iron Marines would arrive on Android on September 14th.

A bunch of your favourite Star Wars characters arrived in Force Arena

Star Wars: Force Arena received a massive update this week, which added a whopping 16 new characters. It was based on the original trilogy so the likes of Yoda finally make an appearance.

Also included are two new maps and a bunch of weapons. If you’ve been looking for an excuse to head back into this Clash Royale–style MOBA, now’s your chance.
