Japanese developer SNK is currently working on an unannounced mobile Metal Slug game alongside the forthcoming console title.
If you’re a keen Metal Slug follower you’ll be aware that there’s already a Metal Slug mobile game en route to the app stores, which is being developed by Tencent’s Timi Studio. This one, by contrast, is being produced at the SNK mothership.
While details are thin on the ground, we know that SNK’s forthcoming mobile contribution to the Metal Slug canon is 80% complete, and will be a “2D side scrolling card-type game” when it arrives.
We also know that it’ll be along this year, so you’ve got a maximum of six months and change to wait.
