TwitchTV, which is the gaming arm of Justin.TV, has finally come to Android. The TwitchTV Android app can be downloaded for free from Google Play. It requires devices to have at least Android 2.2 and takes up 6.5MBs of storage.

The latest 4G LTE smartphone to grace Sprint was announced today at a joint Sprint and HTC event. The HTC EVO 4G LTE will be available during the second quarter of 2012 for $199 on a two-year contract. Pre-orders for this device will start being accepted on May 7. Since we’ll be waiting for a little while for this phone to ship, let’s just go over its details for now.
Google was rumored to be working some kind of futuristic wearable technology for quite some time. Today, the company has finally revealed what the minds inside Google [x] have been working on. Project Glass is an initiative to create technology that is even more a part of our everyday lives than anything ever seen before.
HandyGames, the developers of Guns ‘n’ Glory and Guns ‘n’ Glory WW2, is back with a new game for Android called Farm Invasion USA. Farm Invasion USA is free from Google Play and puts you in control of a couple farmers whose only goal in life is to kill the aliens that are trying to steal their corn. Why? Well the aliens have a weak spot for popcorn apparently.
Sprint has provided a few more details regarding the LG Viper, one of the carrier’s latest 4G LTE smartphones. The LG Viper doesn’t have a solid release date, but pre-orders will begin on April 12. The LG Viper will cost $99 after signing a two-year contract and receiving a $50 mail-in rebate in the form of an American Express Prepaid Reward Card.
As much as I love gaming on my mobile devices, I’m always reminded about how restrictive some games can become due to a lack of physical buttons. Some games just don’t work well with virtual controls, and it leaves me with sweaty hands and a sense of dissatisfaction. Evolution Controllers has just the product for people that share my frustrations, but it needs funding to get its Drone controller into production.
The Leisure Suit Larry franchise is one that just won’t stay down. Larry’s first game called Leisure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards is probably older than some of you that are reading this. It’s that kind of nostalgia that is fueling a Kickstarter campaign to remake the original game for multiple platforms.
Verizon has one heck of a deal going on right now for the HTC Rezound. If you’re willing to sign a two-year contract, the Rezound can be yours for only $49.99 after a promotional discount and the standard contract discount. There are no mail-in rebates to be had here.
Sony recently started allowing developers and Android tinkerers in general to download a beta Ice Cream Sandwich ROM for the Xperia Play. Sony is specifically looking for feedback on how well the games on the Xperia Play run on the new operating system. Sony is taking all that data and using it to make the official ICS update for the Xperia Play as stable as possible.
There’s a developer within Google Play that you should watch out for. They’re called Free Games Apps Devlopers! (their spelling), and they currently have six “games” under their belt. Free Games Apps Devlopers! is running scams on unsuspecting users by making them think they’re downloading games, but they’re really just bombarding players with spam.
