The Volkayno update is one of the largest to change Dig It servers, with three new collections, a boss, and new tools. This Dig It Volkayno Update Guide logs all major changes and tells you how to unlock each new area!

Dig It Volkayno Update Guide
The surface of this new island introduces the Magmatar Boss and Volkayno Collection. Each layer unlocks using exotic rarity keys obtained from completing the previous area’s index. So, to reach The Devil’s Pit, players must first complete the Volkayno Collection including obtaining the Beetle Mount to get the Molten Key. The Oasis, similarly, unlocks after completing the entire Devil’s Pit collection and obtaining the Ancient Key.

Magmatar Boss
The Magmatar Boss spawns every 20 minutes and takes damage when players ‘dig’ up his conjured magma arms. During his battle, Magmatar will attack in several ways including:
- Body ripples – When he wiggles, a circle of heat disperses and travels outwards to attack the player. Jump over it to avoid damage!
- Magma arms – If an orange portal spawns with you inside of it, move! The portal spawns a magma arm which deals damage if you’re in the radius when it appears. The arms also sometimes slam players in its vicinity.
- Deal damage to Magmatar by ‘digging’ up the arms.
When defeated, Magmatar sinks into his lava pool and molten rock spits upwards, crashing into the circle around his spawn. Players can dig up these formations to obtain loot from the Volkayno and Devil’s Pit Collection. There is also an extremely slim chance to obtain the Mythical Flying Carpet mount. When he’s defeated for the first time, players also gain the Boss Slayer Title.
