What Is An Albino Fish?
Albino is one of the many mutations your fish has a chance to be. They will multiply a fish’s value by 1.15x if you sell them. When catching a fish that has the albino mutation, they will appear a plain white colour all over.
Being on the rarer side, they do have the chance to sell for more at the Merchant NPCs. However, there is also an NPC called Ashe, who is located in Roslit Bay. She will buy them from you for x1.3 more than going to a Merchant!
Although it’ll be time-consuming to keep going back and forth whenever you catch one, it may be worth keeping hold of any albino fish you have and selling them to her in one go (unless you’re in desperate need of cash).
How To Catch One
Whenever you fish, there is always a slim chance of catching a fish with the albino mutation. However, if you want to increase your chances, you’ll need to wait for the Mutation Surge to happen. During this time, the spawn rate of any mutated fish increases by 15%. With several mutation possibilities, an albino isn’t guaranteed. But a 15% boost is better than nothing!
You’ll know when there is a Mutation Surge happening in your server, as you will get a notification appearing on your screen.
