2D endless platformer Chop Block arriving onto Android this October 9th

A new ‘endless’ game is heading our way in a couple of days called Chop Block by Vital Zigns. Technically this game is an endless 2D platformer where you control this little block character and try to survive as long as possible by avoiding massive saws that are bend on slicing you up.

The game features some retro-esque 2D visuals and a style of gameplay that looks somewhat similar to Super Meat Boy, which we mean it looks like it will be pretty damn difficult. The controls are simple enough to master: Left, Right and Jump. However it looks like the timing of your moves is going to be the key factor here as to whether or not you get sliced up by one or a multitude of blades.

The one highlight of the game mechanics, which will most likely save a lot of lives in the process, is the ability to control your character’s falling speed. There are a total of five different saw types that you will have to learn and try to avoid at any given time as well.

Right now we know that Chop Block will land on Android on October 9th, 2014 but we don’t know what price it will have or if it will be free-to-play with IAPs like most endless types of games. For now you can check out the game in action in the trailer above.
