Anonymous Asus rep confirms the 7″ Nexus Tablet, to be available by Google I/O

We have been watching and reporting on all the rumors about the Nexus tablet Google has been wanting to release. One rumor is that Asus would be the manufacturer that would be making the device, something that makes a lot of sense. Well it is now confirmed that Asus is indeed making the Nexus tablet.

An anonymous Asus Rep has come out to confirm that the Nexus 7″ tablet will indeed be make by Asus which is a smart move on Google’s part for a few reasons for allowing this particular Nexus device to be made by Asus. It has also been confirmed that the tablet will be ready in time for Google I/O which means there is a very high chance that anyone attending Google I/O this year will be walking away with one of those tablets.

One of the big things about this tablet is the price tag which is rumored to be in the sub-$200 range. In fact it has even been stated that it could go for as little as $149 which is ridiculous considering it will be a Tegra 3 tablet possibly sporting the next iteration of the Android OS dubbed Jelly Bean (Android 5.0). While like all ‘anonymous’ tips, definitely take it with a grain of salt but it does follow and give more creditability to all the other rumors about this tablet. The truth will come out here shortly when Google I/O begins.
