Asphalt Xtreme is the Latest Game Added to Netflix Gaming

Netflix Ingress Android

Netflix has added some new titles to its slightly underwhelming roster of mobile games. The service, which was first launched globally earlier this month, is set to welcome Asphalt Xtreme and Bowling Ballers.

Asphalt Xtreme is the rally version of Gameloft’s driving series, and it first launched on Android back in 2016. Earlier this year, it shut down for good, servers and all. And now, for whatever reason, it’s being resurrected on Netflix.

It’s sort of like the way Apple Arcade is becoming stuffed with + versions of older releases. Here’s a trailer for the Netflix release of the game.

It looks like it’s had a bit of spit and polish, and it’s not a bad game by any measure. If you like stupid driving and dirt then it’s likely up there among your mobile faves.

The other new game is Bowling Ballers, another Frosty Pop title. Apparently it’s a bowling endless runner and it slots neatly in with the other midcore distractions on the Netflix library.

It’s fair to say that our whelm rating for Netflix’s gaming offering is definitely in the under position. Both of the games should be launching on the service in the coming weeks in the US.
