Cabbages have entered the battlefield! Nickelodeon, Tilting Point, and AN Games have brought the Cabbage Merchant Cai into Avatar Legends: Realms Collide. He’s one of the franchise’s most meme-worthy figures. If you’re yet to know him, their latest event is probably a great way to do so!
Who is Cai, the Cabbage Merchant, and what’s he doing in Avatar Legends: Realms Collide?
A recurring character in the series, Cai is a neutral Earth Kingdom businessman. He’s constantly plagued by misfortune, usually involving his cabbage cart being destroyed by the actions of Team Avatar or other powerful forces.
To announce his entry in the game, the developers had James Sie, the voice actor behind the Cabbage Merchant, host a livestream. Sie confirmed Cai’s arrival as a playable character. And he also revealed that he’s been playing Realms Collide himself, choosing Toph as his main pick.
Watch James Sie in the announcement video below.
The limited-time event ‘My Cabbages!’ gives you a chance to collect the exclusive Great Cabbage Animated Decoration. You can also gather Cai Shards to recruit Cai and snag a few extra surprises along the way.
Returning players are automatically granted 10 Cai Shards and a Decoration Building item. If you’re a new player, then you just need to clear the tutorial to dive in. And when the event ends, Cai is set to become a permanent member in the Hall of Avatars.
The Cabbage Merchant’s debut also lines up with the Dear Fellow Lotus event running until September 24th. It brings new rewards, community spotlights, and tougher Field NPCs with better loot.
Also, the Ba Sing Se Arena Championship is now live. There is some fresh gear if you put your squads to the test in PvP. Alliances can also dive into Murong’s Vault, a high-stakes mode where coordinated teams clash to secure and defend precious resources.
For a character who’s spent years losing his cabbages to chaos, Cai has finally found a way to turn persistence into power. And this time, his cart might just survive! You can get the game from the Google Play Store and dive into the event.
