Call of Duty: Mobile is dropping its Season 5, titled Primal Reckoning, on May 28th, 2025, at 5 PM PT. And there’s a bit of everything, trust me! There is the usual futuristic, dystopian vibes, alongside a trip to the zoo and a crossover with NieR: Automata.
The Zoo Map Is Finally Making Its Mobile Debut
It’s from the original Call of Duty: Black Ops and has been repackaged for mobile warfare. It’s a mid-sized map full of crumbling animal enclosures, empty gift shops, and a monorail track slicing right through the place.
Over in Battle Royale, CoD is rolling out Buy Machines across the Isolated Map. You scavenge for cash, take out a few Operators, and then use their money to grab gear like armour, Perks, Scorestreaks. You can even get wild stuff like the Purifier flamethrower if you want.
There’s also a new Battle Pass with Operator Skins, Weapon Blueprints, and some themed items. You’ll be able to kit out your Combat Axe and Smoke Grenade with new skins. And for SMG lovers, the VMP is joining the weapon roster, which will be popping off in both Multiplayer and BR soon.

In the NieR: Automata crossover, you’ll be leading the YorHa Unit in a special event against Machine Lifeforms. The event works like a branching campaign. You finish objectives to get action points, which let you explore paths, hit checkpoints, and unlock Skill Chips.
You can snag the Kui Ji – YoRHa No. 9 Type S operator along with four different melee weapons inspired by NieR. There are also Draws on the way featuring Kestrel – YoRHa No. 2 Type B and Fiona St. George – Commander White.
