Electronic Arts aka EA is hosting a playtest for City Life Game with Friends on Android. It’s part of EA’s The Sims Project Rene. It’s a limited-time playtest through which they are gathering feedback on how the game performs and how players interact with it.
Where Is the City Life Game with Friends Playtest Available?
The playtest is available exclusively for Android devices and your phone needs to be up to date with at least Android 12 and 4GB of RAM. It’s not open to everyone, though.
The game will be playable until April 4th, 2025, with different end times depending on your region. 7 PM UTC, 6 AM AEST in Australia, and 3 AM PHT in the Philippines. After that, the game shuts down, and you’ll have to uninstall it.
It’s definitely not the full game or even a clear representation of what the final product might be. But you’ll get to see where EA might be heading with this project. There’s definitely a sense that EA is experimenting with a lot of different ideas here.
What’s in Store?
Once you’re in, you get to create a character with a style and vibe that fits however you’re feeling. The neighbourhood is buzzing with things to do. You can hit up the Thrift Shop for new outfits, chill at the Café or just help out with community events.
You can work together to set up block parties, make wishes at the plaza fountain and hunt for hidden collectibles. The game pushes for social interaction and community building through your topics of interest in art, music or just making good conversations.
