DeNA and Square Enix team up, will bring Final Fantasy Airborne Brigade to Android

It looks like the release of Final Fantasy games on Android won’t be slowing down anytime soon. Last week we reported on GREE and Square Enix teaming up to bring a Final Fantasy game to Android and now it appears that DeNA and Square Enix are also teaming up to bring a Final Fantasy title to Android called Final Fantasy Airborne Brigade.

This particular game will be the first free-to-play Final Fantasy game to be released in English. Currently available in Japan right now, Final Fantasy Airborne Brigade will have players cooperating with each other and adventuring through a world inspired by the popular Final Fantasy series. Each player will have their own airship and you will be able to team up with other players to form groups called airborne brigades. Once in a group, you will be able to take on powerful bosses in order to gain experience and level up. Of course there will also be plenty of equipment and items to get as well.

All the items and abilities, as with everything else in this game, will be straight from the entire Final Fantasy series. While there is no release date right now for Final Fantasy Airborne Brigade, when it is released it will be a free download for both iOS and Android gamers. This also means it will be cross-platform multplayer.

If you’re interested in checking this game out and want to be one of the first people to play it when it launches, you can pre-register over on the official Final Fantasy Airborne Brigade website. It does look like this will initially be only for the United States and Canada. Full press release below for your reading pleasure.
