EA releases Dead Space for Android. Currently Flexion store only right now.

A game that a lot of people have been waiting for is now available, at least to some degree, for Android gamers to get. EA’s Dead Space is now available for purchase and download but you will have to be able to have access to their Flexion store in order to get it.

The fact it is released onto the Flexion store for EA also means that this is more than likely an Xperia Play exclusive game for right now and is getting an early release in the UK. This is most likely due to the fact that GamesCom is under way right now in Germany. This isn’t the first time EA has done this either. Both Bad Company 2 and D.A.R.K were released on their UK Flexion store first.

Dead Space for Android is pretty much the same as Dead Space for iOS, just ported over to Android. This means if you’ve played the iOS version then you already know what you’re getting yourself into. For those of you who haven’t played the iOS or console version, Dead Space is an over-the-shoulder sci-fi game where you play as Engineer Isaac Clarke who is sent to a giant mining ship to repair it. What he doesn’t know is that the ship has had a run in with a mysterious alien artifact that has turned the crew, or what’s left of the crew, into mutant aliens.

You will be hacking and shooting your way through the ship, trying to figure out what happened and at some point surviving the whole ordeal. The graphics are all 3D just like the iOS version and you’ll be thrust right into the mix in this mobile version instead of dealing with long cinematics and such that the console versions contain.

Thanks to Roger Lyons for the heads up!
