[Updated] Gameloft’s Asphalt 8: Airborne set to arrive tomorrow, new trailer released

Gameloft’s next installment into their Asphalt series of racing games is finally about to launch tomorrow and to make sure everyone knows about it still, Gameloft has released a new trailer for everyone to check out. As you already know, the original release date of August 8th, 2013 that was given during Google’s Nexus 7 press event was only a possible release date and not an official one.

Update August 22nd, 2013 5:41am PST: Gameloft has announced that Asphalt 8: Airborne is now available on Google Play. Link to its listing page down below.

This led to a lot of confusion since everyone thought it would be launching at that time. Instead Gameloft came out to say that it wasn’t the official release date, announcing shortly after that Asphalt 8: Airborne would be arriving on August 22nd, 2013 which is tomorrow. For those of you who have missed our past articles on this game, Gameloft is using a whole new engine for the physics in this game along with completely revamped visuals.

Other features include new maps and weather effects, 180 events to partake in, 47 cars to collect and new game modes including full multiplayer. Asphalt 8: Airborne will also be released with a price tag of $0.99 which hints at possible IAPs but hopefully not. When the game lands on Google Play tomorrow, we will be sure to update this article with the download link. Until then, enjoy the new trailer.
